Global Tiger Day

What if, the tigers disappeared from the world?
If this is the case, we'd be losing the human symbol that represents our dignity. In Buddhism, the Tiger is a symbol of awareness, kindness and confidence.
Let's Protect Tiger!

Wakefulness Practice for students

We are inspired by Ugyen Thinley sir, one of our past Wakefulness (mindfulness) participants, who recently initiated and organized a wakefulness program for his 370 students (170 boys and 200 girls) at his school, Daga Central School, Dagana from 15th to 16th of July, 2021.
Thinley sir said, "we practiced breathing meditation, walking meditation, and karma yoga in a two-day retreat. The retreat is conducted in four groups since there was a huge number of students."
We truly rejoice sir's effort in creating such a platform for our young people to learn about their minds. Mind indeed is the most important entity. The essence of human development must begin with looking inside and the state of mind.
Thank you once again for such an initiative Ugyen Thinley

Cybercrime Talk

Today, we had a virtual discussion on computing in the 21st Century with Mr Sherab Thai, teachers of Lhomon, youth, Lopons and monks of the Chokyi Gyatso Institute - Dewathang.
The discussion was all about taking responsibility, particularly during this fast-paced digitization to avoid cybercrime that could compromise personal and organizational information.
We also talked about some of the existing modes of cyberattacks, such as Phishing (exploiting emails, website, etc.), Vishing (exploiting voice), and Smishing (exploiting SMS), and how all these can undermine our information.
