Sharing story

"You just need to be patient, a notebook to record, a pair of binoculars, and a field guide for Birdwatching," said Tandin Wangdi, a teacher at Trashi Yangtse Lower Secondary School. Tandin sir is a living example of his teacher's influence on his passion for birdwatching and love of nature, and now he lives to influence his students like Jamba. Jamba's fascination for nature grew when he was 11 years old, in grade four as Tandin sir's student. Today, Jamba who is in grade 8, continues to go birdwatching and explore more about nature. Jamba aspires to be a forest ranger in Bhutan.

Thank you Tandin Wangdi for sharing this inspiring story. We enjoyed listening to your passion, field experiences, and how you spark interest in young people.
